The Whise® Profunder 319A is an active powered subwoofer comprising a custom designed and built, low-distortion 15" bass driver and powerful, low noise complimentary-FET power amplifier. 
The Profunder 319A delivers fast, fully extended, low distortion bass to 19Hz at very high SPL with excellent transient capability and detail. The 15" driver has ultra-low Q and very high flux density and uses a custom-profiled paper cone delivering extremely fast yet well-damped transient performance. 
The driver is housed in a unique enclosure designed using (patented) Parametric Acoustic Modelling (PAM) techniques that includes a low-pass acoustic filter. This acts to suppress both driver and amplifier harmonic distortion components, delivering truly flat frequency response, controlled phase and the lowest distortion ever achieved by a subwoofer. 


Patented Neville Thiele Method (NTM) active filters are employed to provide rapid roll-off at the user-selectable upper cut-off frequency. When used with an NTM-filtered satellite loudspeaker, exact amplitude summing and constant phase control over the crossover frequency is achievable. 

The Profunder 319A includes a unique "Guardian" driver protection system.  This system dynamically models cone excursion and coil thermal heating.  The Guardian instantly disconnects the driver once cone excursion or thermal heating limits are exceeded.

The Profunder 319A delivers seamless main channel blending and effortless bass performance that is clear, realistic and musical, faithfully reproducing bass from the subtleties of a symphony orchestra to the most demanding of peaks from home theatre Low Frequency Effects (LFE) action movies.
