The Whise® Profunder 6080 is a powered active three-way satellite loudspeaker comprising a 5" woofer, 4" mid-range and a 1" dome tweeter.  Each speaker driver is driven by its own dedicated power amplifier to ensure optimum coupling and minimum distortion.  The unique woofer enclosure is designed using patented Parametric Acoustic Modelling (PAM) techniques delivering smooth, fast and distortion-free mid and upper bass.

Separate Zero-Delta (patent pending) power amplifiers drive the midrange and tweeter ensuring absolute transparency and detailed transient performance.  All drivers are custom designed and built to optimise acoustic performance.  The woofer has a carbon fibre cone while the midrange has a well-damped paper cone, both drivers employing rubber roll surrounds.  The tweeter is a fabric, ferro-fluid soft dome driver.

Patented Neville Thiele Method (NTM) active filters are employed to provide rapid crossover between drivers while maintaining exact amplitude summing and constant phase.  This optimises driver performance, minimises distortion and preserves polar radiation throughout each passband.  NTM filters also provide exact crossover matching to any NTM-filtered subwoofer.

Time-aligned midrange/tweeter driver configuration optimises dispersion and clarity of image.  Voice reproduction is natural, music is transparent and detailed.  The Profunder 6080 faithfully reproduces the subtleties of a symphony orchestra and the most demanding of peaks from home theatre action movies.

The Profunder 6080 suits high-end domestic stereo and premium 5.1 home theatre applications in moderate size rooms.  It also suits near-field professional applications such as recording and post-production studios.
